Rev. Kate Stevens, Pastor
Kate has just completed her ministry of 12 and a half years at our church. We will celebrate her time with us at an interfaith service on Sunday June 4th 2017 at 10am.
Rev. Kate Stevens began serving our church on November 21, 2004. She has been an ordained minister in the UCC denomination since 1989, and the First Congregational Church of Ashfield is the fourth church she has served. Kate lives in Charlemont, MA with her partner of 25 years, John Hoffman. Both she and John are longtime leaders in the local food movement and run a CSA called Wilder Brook Farm.
Rev. Sarah Pirtle, Co-Leader
Rev. Sarah Pirtle joined our church staff in September 2010. She is an Interfaith Minister who lives in Shelburne Falls, MA. Since 1992 she has directed the Discovery Center for Peacebuilding, and she brings her experiences as peace educator to her work co-leading Sunday School. Sarah is on the faculty of Lesley University Graduate School and creates recordings for children on ecology and recordings for adults on spiritual courage.
